The Tahitian thatch can last from 5 to 8 years depending on the climate before it needs to be replaced. Our Tahitian thatch is made from hardy leaves, by hand sowing strand palm fronds double thick, which makes this product 99% waterproof. It is easily secured to surfaces or supports by simply stapling and overlapping each panel. and can be tied using twine, zip locks or stapled into a wooden frame. Only a single layer is needed for thick, plush coverage. At more than 3 inch thick, and is ideal for both, residential and commercial applications.
