Bamboo Borders
Bamboo borders are an affordable way to add a natural look and feel to any walkway, garden, or landscaping project. Each bamboo border is pre-assembled in 1 inch tall by 8 inches long sections and staggered using only the highest grade of bamboo. All of ourborders are durable, flexible, and easy to install. Our borders are constructed from finest quality 1 inch diameter bamboo poles that have been carefully capped and connected with concealed heavy gauge galvanized steel wire.
Our bamboo borders are an affordable way to add a natural look to walkways, gardens, and any landscaping project with its flexibility and easy installation. They can be used indoors as wall designs or trimming. Our bamboo borders come in three different colors: Natural, Natural Black and Retro (mix of natural and black pattern). We also offer an expandable bamboo border that has many uses as well. This flexible border can be easily twisted and turned to create the most complicated of shapes.

Bamboo edging is earth friendly and a benefit to the world environment through its highly renewable nature. Bamboo is a sustainable resource that doesn’t leave much of an impact on our environment. Bamboo is known for growing up to 2 feet in a day! They also emit 30% more oxygen in the air compared to other types of woods. Bamboo plants are harvest from the base so it does not need to be replanted. Combined with its quick growth and durability, bamboo does not create a lot of waste of resources.

About Bamboo Borders
Our high quality bamboo borders are treated with the utmost care and dedication and we offer high quality and great value selections. They are harvested under the same stringent selection process we require from the highly valued “Tonkin Bamboo”, originating in the Anji Region of China. Each 1 inch diameter pole is cut in varied lengths of 8 inches, 10 inches, and 12 inches tall. This design is more aesthetically appealing since they are assembled in staggered heights rather than a flat, straight across appearance.
Our bamboo borders will last quite a while through all your projects. Installation requires no heavy machinery or chemical bonding. It can easily be shaped and placed by hand. Should the length need to be shorted just snip the wires, remove the number of individual poles, and bend the metal back into place.
Two flexible horizontal rows of heavy gauge galvanized hold each pole close together over the entire 8 inch length. Their rigidity makes it convenient to bend and stay in place on walkways, garden paths, around trees, and potted plants. Each 1 inch tall by 8 inch long border is offered in natural or black colors or select our new “Retro Design”, with combinations of both natural and black bamboo included. We recommend 1 foot sections of rebar that are 3/8 inch or ½ inch diameter to support each section upright. You can also use wooden stakes buried approximately 6 inches into the soil and then attached the borders with galvanized wire or zip ties.
Inside or outside, our bamboo borders will enhance any landscape or theme-oriented design.
How to Care for Bamboo Borders
Bamboo ages like any wood so a finish coat of Amteco Total Wood Protector (TWP) or Cetol 1 is recommended. Other oil based varnishes or polyurethanes may yield good quality UV protection and help preserve the bamboo to its original color, but we suggest consulting the manufacturer’s application instructions for best results. By using a finish, it ensures that the durable bamboo borders last even longer.
