Thatch Roof

ThatchRoof

Thatching is a roofing material option. Typically thatch is made of straw, reed, palm, heather, or other dry flora. It is typically layered to help shed moisture from the base or inner roofing material. This is an old roofing craft, used in both tropical and mild climates. It also adds a rustic look for themed décor.

When used on theme construction; for example Tiki Huts or tropical umbrellas, the woven covering provides both shade and a bit of cover from the elements.

Thank you for reading our blog! Thatch can be easily installed with the use of finishing nails or even a staple gun along the braiding on top of the roll.
