Tahitian Palm Thatch

Tahitian Palm Thatch is a popular roofing material used for outdoor structures and can transform your outdoor space into a tropical paradise. Our thatch panels are skillfully woven from dried palm leaves that are secured by sturdy nylon string for lasting durability. Contractors and palapa builders often prefer Tahitian palm thatch for both residential and commercial applications. Compared to other natural thatch products, Tahitian thatch has the longest life expectancy at 10 to 12 years. Proper maintenance and treatment will help extend the lifespan of your thatch even with harsh weather conditions. Tahitian thatch can often be seen in beachfront resorts, water parks, and poolside cabanas to create a traditional tropical look.

About Tahitian Thatch

Our Tahitian thatch products have been designed to replicate and capture the authentic tropical style of the Tahitian islands. Tahitian palm thatch is also known as Fiji, Fijian, or Brazilian thatch and is very cost effective. The dried palm leaves used in our paneling have been specially dried in the sun to ensure consistency in size, shape, and quality. The panels are also hand-woven with commercial grade nylon string to secure the leaves in place. Each panel measures 3 feet in length and 2 feet in height. We also offer an economically priced bundle pack that comes with 4 (3 ft x 2 ft) pre-assembled panels ready for easy installation./p>

Environmentally Friendly

Tahitian thatch is an eco-friendly and recyclable resource that is economically priced for the consumer. Like bamboo, this renewable resource can be repeatedly harvested without killing the tree from which the leaves grow. Palms grow in tropical regions all over the world and require less water and maintenance than other traditional wood bearing resources. Thatch products can be hand installed without having to use harmful chemicals or heavy machinery. The palm leaves harvested to make thatch products are skillfully hand-woven into an attractive aesthetic piece perfect for enhancing your living space.

Tahitian thatch has a wide range of applications, and can be used both indoors and outdoors. Typically, Tahitian thatch is used as roofing to beautify outdoor surroundings. Palapas, tiki bars, cabanas, gazebos, sheds, umbrellas, and other structures can be covered with layers of Tahitian thatch to make a waterproof roof.

If you are looking to use thatch indoors, it can be used to create table skirting to cover boring desks and tables in your home or office. Tahitian thatch is a versatile product that can be used to repurpose any room in your home.
