About Our Bamboo
Each one of our fences is constructed from high-quality, commercial-grade bamboo poles that we specially hand pick. Each pole is imported straight from the Anji region of China and tested to ensure maximum durability. Before the fences are built, we cut each bamboo cane into correctly sized poles. In order to prevent decay, we dry each pole and cap the top node, a step skipped by many companies. Our fencing panels are finished off with sturdy galvanized steel wires that connect the poles securely.

Bamboo is a highly sustainable resource that doesn’t have to be killed in order to be harvested. The bamboo is cut directly at the base of the roots allowing for immediate regrowth. This speedy regeneration process also prevents soil erosion from damaging the environment. Bamboo is one of the fastest growing plants in the world. Some species of bamboo can actually grow up to 2 inches in a single hour. Compared to other plants, bamboo releases 35% more oxygen into the atmosphere and helps fight the global warming epidemic. With the rise in environmental awareness, bamboo is a smart alternative to hardwood building materials.
The impressive anatomy of bamboo is capable of withstanding more weight and pressure than any wood structure. Although bamboo is known for its incredible strength, it is flexible and can be shaped to fit a variety of structures. Bamboo is also resistant to termites and other insects that afflict typical wood fencing products.
How To Care For Your Bamboo
To increase the lifespan of your natural burnt bamboo fences, we recommend coating the bamboo with Cabot’s Australian Timber Oil in Honey Teak available here. This special coating helps protect against weathering and other issues caused by harsh climate changes.
