About Black Bamboo

There are many different varieties of bamboo that are grown commercially throughout the world. Phyllostachys Nigra is not only beautiful in color, but also more sturdy and durable than other species of bamboo. At Forever Bamboo, we only use Phyllostachys Nigra for our black and speckled bamboo poles. Our black and speckled poles are two different varieties of Nigra and are completely natural in color. We never stain or dye our black and speckled poles.

Pole Sizes and Multi-Packs

Phyllostachys Nigra is a daintier species of bamboo than Tonkin and Moso; however, it’s equally as sturdy as Tonkin and Moso. We sell black and speckled poles in a variety of different lengths to accommodate both indoor and outdoor projects. Our black and speckled bamboo poles are available both individually (in store only) and in bundle packs of 5, 10, and 25.

DISCLAIMER: Due to the nature of bamboo, the size, shape, and color of bamboo poles may vary.

Speckled Bamboo Sizes

Speckled bamboo possesses natural shades of tropical tans with dark green and cocoa brown spots. Since our speckled bamboo derives from a smaller variety ofPhyllostachys Nigra, it grows to a maximum of only 1.75 inches in thickness. We do offer 5 foot, 8 foot, and 10 foot lengths for variety.

Black Bamboo Sizes

Black bamboo is an attractive dark brown species of Phyllostachys Nigra that emits natural hues of cocoa and tan highlights. Our black bamboo is available in 5 foot, 8 foot, and 10 foot lengths with 1 inch, 1.25 inch, and 1.75 inch diameter widths.
